GULF AG CHAMPS/SENIOR CHAMPS – July 12-14
Hurricane Beryl did not blow our Champs swimmers! Due to power loss at our facility and several others in the surrounding areas, Gulf AG Champs and Senior Champs were both hosted by FLEET on the same weekend and finals eliminated. TWST brought about 50 Age Group swimmers to these meets, with many TAGS and Futures Swimmers only swimming off events. TWST weathered the storm to take home FIRST PLACE TEAM at Senior Champs and qualify many new swimmers for TAGS at Age Group Champs (10 new TAGS swimmers!). Way to persevere and stay on task, TWST swimmers!

TAGS July 17-21
TWST brought 29 swimmers to TAGS this summer and qualified/entered all 24 relays that were available. It has been a long time since TWST has fielded a team this large and ALL relays! We rocked the deck in our 80s airbrush trucker hats, MTV themed hats and very popular baseball jerseys. TWST fought hard and got faster each night to take home the 8th Place Overall Team Award. We were the smallest team in the TOP 10 and number 3 in the Gulf behind KATY and FLEET (both 1000+ teams), making us the fastest age group program in our area!

TWST took on Angleton, Texas in pouring down rain all three days of the Gulf Summer Champs Meet. With 50 athletes competing, TWST certainly made a statement and came home with several best times, huge drops, new meet cuts and loads of medals. TWST was the Second Place Team behind the large team host, KATY Aquatics.
